SIGHTSEEING AND A GOURMET MEAL

Set off on a lunch or dinner cruise with Bateaux Parisiens. The company’s boarding point at Port de la Bourdonnais enjoys a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. Their fleet comprises 13 boats: 5 ‘restaurant’ boats with seating for 110 to 340 people and 8 ‘sightseeing’ boats with seating for 100 to 600 people. Traditional French cooking can be savoured with musical accompaniment during a 2hr lunch cruise, at prices ranging from €57 to €89. Alternatively, there is a 2hr-30 dinner cruise (€99 to €250).

Discover or reacquaint yourself with historical Paris on a Bateaux Mouches sightseeing or dining cruise. These boats with avant-garde design have two decks, and are regularly redecorated to reflect current trends. Climb aboard an enclosed boat with heating and air-conditioning or, in warmer weather, a boat with an open deck to enjoy an unrestricted view. The fleet comprises 15 light-filled, glass-sided boats: 9 sightseeing and 6 restaurant boats, with dining rooms and lounges hosting 500 people for sit-down dinners (800 people for cocktails).

Marina de Paris, located south of the city centre in the Village Cour Saint Emilion, organizes a range of made-to-measure events on its panoramic boats, in the layout of your choice. Sophisticated dishes made using seasonal ingredients are served aboard Marina de Paris boats. Three cruise durations are available, from 1hr15 to 2hrs, priced from €41 to €71.

ENTERTAINING ON THE SEINE

Built in 2014, Pavillon Seine is a new floating vessel from luxury caterers Potel et Chabot. Stylishly appointed, with faultless service, the 70-metre-long vessel can be used – at dock or out on the water – to host a variety of events, from business dinners and fashion shows to meetings, product launches and receptions. The 800 m² surface area divided up into reception rooms, with 34 beautiful bay windows all the way to the upper deck, is perfect for hosting upscale receptions, and accommodates up to 400 people for cocktails. One noteworthy feature is the boat’s 3-metre ceiling, with no staircases or pillars.

Another Seine cruise stalwart is Les Yachts de Paris. The company possesses a fleet of 8 magnificent yachts hosting up to 800 passengers, sailing from Port Henri IV or Port de Javel. Privatized events and customized packages can be organized in superb lounges to suit the client’s requirements (conference, seminar, product launch, reception, dance party). The food served on board comes from the upscale Paris caterer Lenôtre.
As of end-2014, Les Yachts de Paris also provide spaces with eco-friendly design: the open-air Network lounges and the Liberty barge, located in the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty in western Paris.

Moored at the foot of Notre Dame Cathedral in the historical centre of Paris, Bateau Ivre Maxim’s provides a magnificent art deco setting, inspired by the famous restaurant of the same name on Rue Royale, in which to host your event. It can hold 80 people for a sit-down dinner or 120 for cocktails. Sunset cruises on the Seine are available on request.

It gives crews of 8 or 18 a unique opportunity to test this ancient Chinese sport in the course of a 250-metre sprint, to the sound of drums. A themed evening or cocktail party with a prize-giving ceremony rounds off the day. Great fun!
